The Centre of Cesis / camping Žagarkalns / Raiskums

The first kilometers of this road (on a highway), it goes uphill, while after the turn to Raiskums, you shall dispose of an even asphalt surface, until the lake Raiskums. The trail starts on one side and carries on all around the lake. Afterwards, when you are exiting the forest, you should go right and then you shall find a small bridge that is situated in the joint of two lakes: Raiskums and Auciems.  Later this trail goes until the asphalt road and you have to pursue straight on until the Raiskums shop. There is an indication „ūdenstilpne”(„water body”) and following this way you shall find a marvelous place for swimming. After bathing we advice you to take the path that goes along the lake and leads up to the central road. Rapidly, you have to take another forest trail; it is rather difficult for the first 200 meters, but they are followed by a descent of 3 kilometers.
