Zagarkalns

Žagarkalns is our highest hill which is made of two slightly different slopes (220 - 240 m long). Žagarkalns 1 – slope is 220 m long (see picture: on the left). Žagarkalns 2 – slope is 240 m long (see picture: on the right). Slopes are of average decline with slightly changing surface.

 Our Ski Centre has 5 hills, of which this is the most favourite among the skiers, for it has the longest slopes with interesting wavy surface. There are spacious parking lots, cafe "Cafe Popular" with a glass terrace, rental store and open booking-office at the top of the hill. If you are not interested in School Hill or Baby Hill you can go directly to the top of Žagarkalns where there are more spacious parking lots and where the same services are available as at the top of Cīruļkalns. Besides, all slopes are connected and afterwards you can choose which slope to use and in which cafe to have a warm drink or a meal. Žagarkalns has 4 ski lifts and two of them are platter (button/poma) lifts.
